The Bridgeport Rifle Club Pistol Program is responsible for running various pistol activities and events for members and non members alike.
Various leagues are held throughout the year. Among them are the Wednesday Night Pistol League, which is a traditional bullseye pistol match and a 900 Bullseye Match held monthly from October to March. In addition to the leagues, The Bridgeport Rifle Club also hosts a variety of NRA registered and non registered "fun" matches.
Any center fire or rim fire handgun may used provided the ammunition does not exceed the velocity of normal, commercially available loadings (no magnum, +P or armor piercing ammunition allowed). Jacketed bullets, lead bullets, frangible bullets, copper plated and copper washed bullets are all acceptable for use. Fully automatic and similar type hand guns are never permitted for use. These rules are to ensure the safety of everyone on the range and to help prevent any possible damage to the range itself.
