The Bridgeport Rifle Club Pistol Program is responsible for running various pistol activities and events for members and non members alike.
Two different leagues are held throughout the year. The Wednesday Night Pistol League, which is a traditional bulls-eye pistol match, and the Thursday Night Slow Fire League, which is a casual slow fire practice. In addition to the leagues The Bridgeport Rifle Club also hosts a variety of NRA registered and non registered "fun" matches.
Any center fire or rim fire handgun may used provided it uses non jacketed ammunition and fires at less than 1100 feet per second. Lead bullets, frangible bullets, copper plated and copper washed bullets are all acceptable for use. fully automatic and similar type hand guns are never permitted for use. These rules are to ensure the safety of everyone on the range and the help prevent an possible damage to the range itself.
